Soccer Game Preview: Cannon vs. Charlotte Christian

The Cannon Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Charlotte Christian Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cannon's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Monday, Cannon didn't have quite enough to beat Legion Collegiate Academy and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Christian fell victim to Providence Day and their airtight defense on Thursday. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Charlotte Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Providence Day are ranked first).

This is the second loss in a row for Charlotte Christian and nudges their season record down to 3-8. As for Cannon, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-2.
