Volleyball Recap: Sweetwater Wins Going Away Against Brainerd

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Meigs County, Sweetwater was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Brainerd Panthers. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

One reason for the win was Sweetwater's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-10, 25-9.

Peyton Grabowski paced Sweetwater's offense, picking up nine kills. Grabowski got some help from Baylee Bohrer and her 11 assists. Kylee Poe controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

Sweetwater's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Brainerd, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Sweetwater will head out on the road to take on Maryville Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Brainerd, they will welcome Chattanooga Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
