The Pearsall Mavericks''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 29-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of Young Men's Leadership Academy. Pearsall was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Young Men's Leadership Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Raishaun Conaway had a dynamite game for Young Men's Leadership Academy, rushing for 249 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
Pearsall's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 5-5. As for Young Men's Leadership Academy, they will take on Navarro at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Navarro presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Young Men's Leadership Academy in Texas (Navarro is ranked 331st, while Young Men's Leadership Academy is ranked 819th).
