Soccer Game Preview: Lexington vs. River Bluff

The Lexington Wildcats will face off against the River Bluff Gators at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. River Bluff took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Lexington, who comes in off a win.

Lexington's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 4-0 margin over White Knoll. Lexington might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by four goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, River Bluff fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Dutch Fork on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Silver Foxes by a score of 1-0. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 19, 2024, but that streak is no more.

River Bluff dropped their record down to 9-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Lexington, their victory bumped their record up to 17-2.
