Softball Game Preview: Foley Lions vs. Mobile Christian Leopards

The Foley Lions will take on the Mobile Christian Leopards at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Foley has now lost ten straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 12.

Foley's tournament run continued when they took on Cottage Hill Christian Academy on Saturday. Foley fell 9-5 to Cottage Hill Christian Academy.

Meanwhile, Mobile Christian gave up the first runs last Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against St. Paul's Episcopal by a score of 6-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Leopards.

Anna Claire Robin spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 14 Ks.

At the plate, Mobile Christian let Karsyn Grantham and Ansley Paul loose on the outfield. Grantham scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Paul scored a run while going 2-for-3. Riley Dunnam was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Mobile Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Foley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
