Volleyball Recap: Brookland-Cayce Takes a Loss

Brookland-Cayce was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Midland Valley Mustangs. If the Bearcats were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brookland-Cayce's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Midland Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Brookland-Cayce is set to challenge their familiar foe Gray Collegiate Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Midland Valley will face off against rival Airport at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
