Mead is 9-1 against Skyline since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Mead Mavericks will face off against the Skyline Falcons at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mead has eight straight wins, Skyline has 12 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.

On Tuesday, Mead made easy work of Fairview and carried off a 50-26 victory. The Mavericks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Skyline challenged Horizon on Tuesday. Skyline was beaten by Horizon 64-12. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Hawks are ranked 89th).

Mead is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.7 points per game. As for Skyline, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.

Everything came up roses for Mead against Skyline when the teams last played back in February of 2022, as the squad secured a 77-27 win. In that game, Mead amassed a halftime lead of 42-12, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
