Baseball Recap: San Clemente Comes Up Short

San Clemente easily dispatched Douglas last Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. San Clemente fell just short of the San Juan Hills Stallions by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tritons of the 3-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Cassius Sisson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.

San Clemente has also been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season. San Juan Hills has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

While San Clemente had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
