The Landstown Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Princess Anne Cavaliers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Landstown will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Landstown's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past Salem 22-0. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Sundevils: they've now won seven in a row.

George Chevalier was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Landstown let Jordan Hunt and Colin Kim run wild. Hunt went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run, while Kim went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and three runs. Those three RBI gave Hunt a new career-high. Garrett Clark also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
Landstown always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Princess Anne had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Stallions with a sharp 16-0 win.
Clayton Thomas looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Xavier Doon was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He is becoming a predictor of Princess Anne's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-6 when he doesn't). Reid Vandergrift was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Landstown pushed their record up to 11-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Princess Anne, their record now sits at 10-6.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Landstown has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Princess Anne struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 6.7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Landstown's way against Princess Anne when the teams last played two weeks ago, as Landstown made off with a 10-2 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
