Recap: O'Farrell Charter Falcons vs. Guajome Park Academy Frogs
The O'Farrell Charter Falcons waltzed into their contest on Thursday with four straight wins but they left with five. They took down Guajome Park Academy 52-35. For O'Farrell Charter, this counts as revenge for the 77-27 defeat Guajome Park Academy walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2017.
O'Farrell Charter was led to victory by Eric Epps and Sador Rusom. Epps scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals, while Rusom scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Marcelo Cardenas, who scored five points.
O'Farrell Charter pushed their record up to 9-9 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points per game. As for Guajome Park Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
O'Farrell Charter's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Bayfront Charter at 5:45 p.m. on January 18th. Guajome Park Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Del Lago Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th. Del Lago Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Guajome Park Academy likes a good challenge.
