Softball Recap: West Wendover Comes Up Short

West Wendover lost against Pershing County back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. West Wendover came up short against Pershing County, falling 28-7. The Wolverines' loss continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Yaretzi Saucedo and Brisieda Haro stepped up to the plate in a big way. Saucedo scored a run while going 1-for-1, while Haro scored a run while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexa Aranda, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

West Wendover's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Pershing County, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Pershing County beat West Wendover by a score of 22-4 later that day.
