Basketball Recap: Tucson High Magnet School Comes Up Short

Tucson High Magnet School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Highland Hawks 65-38. The match marked the Badgers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Tucson High Magnet School lost, don't look at Xavier Grajeda. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points. Nitai Buchler also deserves some recognition as he grabbed his first steal of the season.

Highland's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ty Crandall led the charge by going 7 of 9 on his way to 17 points. Crandall's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Michael Johnson, who made all 5 shots he took to post 14 points.
