Softball Game Preview: Argyle Orioles vs. River Ridge Timberwolves

The Argyle Orioles are taking a road trip to square off against the River Ridge Timberwolves at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Argyle is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

On Monday, Argyle didn't have quite enough to beat Potosi/Cassville and fell 4-3.

Meanwhile, River Ridge fell victim to Monticello and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Ponies, falling 18-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Timberwolves were not able to get on the board.

Argyle's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for River Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.

Argyle couldn't quite get it done against River Ridge when the teams last played back in April of 2023 as they fell 7-3. Can the Orioles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
