Bartram Trail lost to First Coast back in November of 2020, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Bartram Trail Bears came out on top against the First Coast Buccaneers by a score of 45-36. The victory was familiar territory for the Bears who have now won three contests in a row.

Bartram Trail's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Souza, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Bennett Michelsen, who went 6 of 10 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Bartram Trail was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as First Coast only posted nine assists.

First Coast's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Amari Walton, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards, and Christian Williams, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Walton has been hot, having posted 11 or more boards the last five times he's played.

Bartram Trail's record is now 14-8. As for First Coast, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-11.

Bartram Trail will look to defend their home court on Monday against Matanzas at 6:30 p.m. Matanzas is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.3 points per game this season. First Coast has already played their next matchup (against Nease), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
