Baseball Game Preview: Austin Eagles vs. Milan Indians

The Austin Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge the Milan Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither Austin nor Milan posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Austin and Charlestown, and Charlestown kept the tradition alive. The Eagles came up short against the Pirates on Thursday, falling 8-2.

Meanwhile, Milan fell victim to Oldenburg Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 6-0 to the Twisters. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Indians haven't been shut out since back in April.

With the defeat, Milan broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-6. As for Austin, their loss dropped their record down to 4-8.

Austin skirted past Milan 2-1 in their previous matchup back in April of 2019. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
