Recap: Rowland Hall Winged Lions vs. Draper APA Eagles
The Rowland Hall Winged Lions lost to the Draper APA Eagles back in February of 2023, but the Rowland Hall Winged Lions didn't allow the Draper APA Eagles the same satisfaction on Wednesday. Rowland Hall managed a 59-53 victory over Draper APA. The win made it back-to-back wins for Rowland Hall.
Rowland Hall was led to victory by Luc Dowdle and Yeshi Tsering. Dowdle scored 13 points along with nine rebounds, while Tsering scored 18 points along with three steals. That's the first time this season that Dowdle pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of William Chin, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Luke Greenwell, who scored 11 points along with nine rebounds. Urban Baldwin was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Draper APA struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Rowland Hall has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-10 record this season. As for Draper APA, they dropped their record down to 4-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rowland Hall will face off against St. Joseph at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (St. Joseph is ranked 132nd, while Rowland Hall is ranked 117th). As for Draper APA, they will head out on the road to square off against Maeser Prep Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
