Special teams also played a big role in the game for Shelby, adding 16 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Kendrick Jawon, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Shelby's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games.
