Henry County came tearing into Thursday's match with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Gallatin County as they made off with a 9-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-2 on Tuesday.

The team relied heavily on Carly Davidson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Aubree Kirk was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Henry County hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gallatin County struck out nine times.

Henry County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Gallatin County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-12.

Coming up, Henry County will look to defend their home field on Friday against Eminence at 6:00 p.m. The Wildcats are facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on a 19-game losing streak. As for Gallatin County, they will venture away from home to take on Owen County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Rebels have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.2 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
