Volleyball Recap: Western Harnett Takes a Loss

Western Harnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Triton Hawks. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hawks earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-17.

Western Harnett's defeat dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Triton, their win ended a six-match drought on the road and puts them at 4-12.

Western Harnett and Triton could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Eagles will take on North Moore at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (444 vs. 207). Meanwhile, Triton (ranked 411th) will meet Union Pines (ranked 32nd) at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
