Basketball Recap: Beallsville Takes a Loss

Beallsville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a hard 56-37 fall against the Madonna Blue Dons. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-52 last Thursday.

Koleton Grishkevich was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds for Madonna. Grishkevich's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Andre Crossland, who posted eight points and nine boards.

Beallsville's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Madonna, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.

Beallsville will challenge Tuscarawas Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Madonna, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 77-60 win against Trinity Christian on the 30th.
