Baseball Recap: Grafton Triumphs

Grafton put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Saturday. They never let the New Holstein Huskies get on the board and left with an 11-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Black Hawks in their matchups with the Huskies: they've now won three in a row.

Grafton let Kevin Quello and Nicholas Schiller run wild. Quello got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three runs and one RBI, while Schiller went 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. Those three runs gave Quello a new career-high. Dylan Bodoh was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

Grafton's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for New Holstein, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Grafton is taking a road trip to square off against Nicolet at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Black Hawks surely won't give up without a fight. As for New Holstein, they will welcome Chilton at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
