Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln-Way Central vs. Lincoln-Way East

The Lincoln-Way Central Knights will square off against the Lincoln-Way East Griffins at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln-Way Central will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Lincoln-Way Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Everything went their way against Blue Island Eisenhower as they made off with a 4-1 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Lincoln-Way Central's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Blue Island Eisenhower are ranked 123rd).

Meanwhile, Lincoln-Way East kept a clean sheet against Joliet West on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Tigers. Owen Bohren had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Lincoln-Way East.

Lincoln-Way East now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Lincoln-Way Central, their victory bumped their record up to 16-4.

Lincoln-Way Central was able to grind out a solid win over Lincoln-Way East in their previous matchup back in September, winning 2-0. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Griffins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
