Kearney Catholic entered their tilt with Lincoln Christian on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Crusaders. The Stars have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders, too.

Kearney Catholic's offense was headlined by Hazel Haarberg and Kinley Wemhoff, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Roslyn Krohn and her 22 assists.

When it comes to explaining why Lincoln Christian lost, don't look at Maci Pittenger. Despite the final result, she had 13 digs and six assists. Pittenger has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Kearney Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Lincoln Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.

Coincidentally, Kearney Catholic and Lincoln Christian will both be playing Bishop Neumann the next time they take the court. The Stars will host the Cavaliers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Crusaders will play them later in the day, at 12:00 p.m.
