Softball Recap: Waltham Starts off Right with Win over Malden

Waltham had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Malden Golden Tornados 23-6 on Friday.

Kayla Smith was a standout: she scored three runs and stole six bases while going 3-for-4. Morgan Smith was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

Coming up, Waltham will take on Acton-Boxborough at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Malden has already played their next game (against Chelsea), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
