Baseball Recap: Palo Verde Comes Up Short

The Palo Verde Titans lost 16-1 to the Apache Junction Prospectors on Tuesday. The Titans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

David Burgoyne made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Palo Verde's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Apache Junction, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Palo Verde is taking a road trip to face off against Desert Christian at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Palo Verde has given up an average of 8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Apache Junction, they will welcome Poston Butte at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
