Baseball Recap: Workman Takes a Loss

Workman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 26th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the La Puente Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Lobos have suffered since March 11, 2024.

Workman's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for La Puente, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Workman will challenge Edgewood at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for La Puente, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bassett at 3:30 p.m. on April 8. Bassett has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.13 runs per game on average), something La Puente will no doubt try to take advantage of.
