Volleyball Recap: Libertyville's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Libertyville faced Barrington in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Wildcats came out on top against the Fillies/Broncos by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on May 15th.

While Libertyville might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Barrington scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 25-19.

Nathan Knight paced Libertyville's offense, picking up six kills. Knight got some help from Aarav Bamrolia and his 20 assists. Bamrolia also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Alex Brown, racking up two apiece.

The victory (which was Libertyville's seventh in a row) raised their record to 31-4. As for Barrington, their loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 24-12.

Coming up, Libertyville will square off against New Trier at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trevians will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight. Barrington does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
