Basketball Game Preview: Carmel Greyhounds vs. Warren Central Warriors

The Carmel Greyhounds will challenge the Warren Central Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Carmel has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with four straight defeats, while Warren Central will come in with five straight wins.

Last Saturday, Carmel came up short against Avon and fell 65-52. While losing is never fun, the Greyhounds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Orioles are ranked third).

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Warren Central against Richmond on Saturday as the squad secured a 68-41 victory. The game marked the Warriors' most dominant win of the season.

Warren Central pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Carmel, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Carmel didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Warren Central when the teams last played back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 44-40 win.
