Volleyball Recap: Pinecrest Glades Academy Takes a Loss

Pinecrest Glades Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

While Pinecrest Glades Academy ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-17, 25-17.

Pinecrest Glades Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Somerset Academy South Homestead, their victory was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

Pinecrest Glades Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Pinecrest North Preparatory on the 1st. As for Somerset Academy South Homestead, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Palmer Trinity on the 1st.
