Basketball Game Preview: Beechcroft Cougars vs. Utica Redskins

The Beechcroft Cougars will square off against the Utica Redskins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Beechcroft didn't have too much trouble with DePaul Cristo Rey as they won 41-24. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

While Utica didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. Everything went their way against Maysville on Monday as Utica made off with a 61-35 victory. The contest marked the Redskins' most dominant win of the season so far.

Utica has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.3 points per game. As for Beechcroft, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
