Basketball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Quartz Hill's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Quartz Hill won the last time they faced Palmdale, and Ty?Jahwuan Jackson did his part to make sure it happened again. The Quartz Hill Royals blew past the Palmdale Falcons 66-44 on Wednesday thanks in part to Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 12 boards. Jackson is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least 11 every time he's taken the court this season.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (seven).

When it comes to explaining why Palmdale lost, don't look at Ethan Thornton. Despite the final result, he posted 18 points. Jacob Toles was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Quartz Hill has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Palmdale, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-18.

Quartz Hill didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 74-47 win against Lancaster on the 24th. Palmdale has also already played their next contest, an 82-37 loss against Knight on the 24th.
