Softball Recap: Two Rivers' Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Two Rivers waltzed into their match on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Mahtomedi Zephyrs by a score of 13-9. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 14-2 two weeks ago.

The team relied heavily on Addison Estall, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with four RBI and two runs. Cece Bungue-Jones was another key player, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI.

Two Rivers was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .343 or higher in three consecutive contests.

Two Rivers' win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Mahtomedi, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Two Rivers will welcome North at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Mahtomedi, they will be playing at home against Simley at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
