Football Game Preview: Colfax Bulldogs vs. Priest River Spartans + How To Watch

The Colfax Bulldogs will take on the Priest River Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Colfax will be strutting in after a victory while Priest River will be coming in after a defeat.

Priest River will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Colfax extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Bulldogs blew past Chewelah, posting a 45-6 win.

Meanwhile, Priest River didn't have quite enough to beat Kettle Falls last Friday and fell 18-16. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Spartans came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 80th in Idaho, while the Bulldogs are ranked 274th in Washington).

Colfax will need to focus on slowing down Braden Leach, one of several Priest River players who made an impact when they last played. He picked up 71 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Leach got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 58 yards. Lucas Mathews was another key player, throwing for 185 yards and a pair of TDs.

Colfax's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Priest River, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Colfax came up short against Priest River in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 34-27. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Sawyer Staudt (who rushed for 193 yards and four scores) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
