Basketball Game Preview: Coalfield Yellow Jackets vs. Oakdale Eagles

The Coalfield Yellow Jackets will face off against the Oakdale Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Coalfield has given up an average of 53.7 points per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Coalfield is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since November 23, 2024 on Saturday. They were dealt an 83-50 loss at the hands of Van Buren County.

Meanwhile, Oakdale waltzed into their game on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 60-52. 60 seems to be a good number for the Eagles as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Coalfield's defeat ended a ten-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-4. As for Oakdale, they now have a winning record of 8-7.

Coalfield didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Oakdale in their previous meeting back in December of 2025, but they still walked away with an 84-79 win. Will the Yellow Jackets repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
