Simpson waltzed into their matchup on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Downsville Demons a 16-0 shutout. This was payback for the Broncos, who suffered an 11-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Simpson's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Downsville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, Simpson and Downsville will both be playing Cedar Creek the next time they take the field. The Broncos will host the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Demons will host them at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
