Basketball Recap: Pearsall Comes Up Short

Pearsall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They lost 61-41 to the Somerset Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mavericks of the 39-30 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Pearsall's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Somerset, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-19.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Floresville the next time they take the court. Somerset will host Floresville at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Pearsall will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on January 17th.
