Softball Recap: Texas City Takes a Loss

Texas City lost against Santa Fe back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Texas City lost 14-4 to Santa Fe. That's two games in a row now that the Stingarees have lost by exactly ten runs.

Trinitey Spencer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Texas City has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7-1 record this season. Santa Fe's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-10.

Coming up, Texas City will welcome Angleton at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Angleton will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Texas City surely won't give up without a fight. As for Santa Fe, they will head out to face off against Iowa Colony at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Santa Fe is facing Iowa Colony at the right time seeing as Iowa Colony is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
