Lakeside Christian picks up sixth straight win on the road

The Lakeside Christian Lions came tearing into Friday's contest with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Indian Rocks Christian with points to spare, taking the game 66-48. Given Lakeside Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while Indian Rocks Christian is ranked 470th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Lakeside Christian to victory were Jabari Adams and Nijaun Harris. Adams scored 23 points along with two steals, while Harris scored 23 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. Harris is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last six games he's played. Blaise Tshibangu was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.

When it comes to explaining why Indian Rocks Christian lost, one person who can't be blamed is Will Murphree. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with six rebounds and two steals. That was a full 45.8% of Indian Rocks Christian's points, marking the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin McDonnel, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Lakeside Christian's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-5. As for Indian Rocks Christian, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-6.
