Basketball Recap: Stow-Munroe Falls Takes a Loss

After flying high against Nordonia on Friday, Stow-Munroe Falls came back down to earth. The Stow-Munroe Falls Bulldogs took a 77-58 bruising from the Archbishop McNicholas Rockets on Saturday. The Bulldogs were down 59-38 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Archbishop McNicholas found their leader in sophomore Grant Waters, who went 7 for 16 en route to 23 points along with six assists and six boards. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for Waters. Another player making a difference was Matthew Ehlers, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 12 points and seven rebounds.

Stow-Munroe Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Archbishop McNicholas, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stow-Munroe Falls will host Twinsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Archbishop McNicholas, they will be playing at home against Badin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
