2015 record (MaxPreps national rank): 10-2, FHSAA 6A champion (No. 14)

Last decade: 101-34 (note: forfeited all 13 wins in 2011 due to use of ineligible player)

Star power: T Navaughn Donaldson (98, Miami), LB Waynmon Steed (432, Miami), WRs Carmoni Green (407), Anthony White Jr (830) and Jernard Phillips (1,469, USF), DE Owen Carney (528).

Even more: Running back James Cook, brother of 2015 first-team college all-American running back Dalvin Cook (Florida State), was a MaxPreps freshman all-American last season. He's since reclassified and is a junior this season.

Biggest game: At No. 42 Carol City (Miami), Sept. 30.

Briefly: Cook rushed for 178 yards and three scores in the state-title game last year. … It was the fourth-straight state title for Central and fifth in six years. … Donaldson is 6-foot-6 and 335 pounds. … Green may be leaning toward Oregon State, considering former Central head coach Telly Lockette is a Beavers assistant.
