Basketball Recap: Smoky Valley Takes a Loss

Smoky Valley was the 47-46 winner over Hillsboro when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Smoky Valley Vikings fell 52-42 to the Hillsboro Trojans on Tuesday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Smoky Valley's record now sits at 6-10. As for Hillsboro, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Coming up, Smoky Valley will head out to square off against Hesston at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hesston will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something Smoky Valley surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hillsboro, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Council Grove at 6:00 p.m.
