Volleyball Recap: Fisher Gets the Win

Fisher lost to Bishop McNamara back in August of 2023, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Monday. The Bunnies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Fightin' Irish.

Fisher had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-22, 15-10.

Bella Kelsey was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had seven digs and seven aces. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Fisher was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bishop McNamara only served six aces.

When it comes to explaining why Bishop McNamara lost, don't look at Gianna Brosseau. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs.

The victory got Fisher back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Fisher will take on Urbana University at 7:00 p.m. on September 2. As for Bishop McNamara, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Watseka on the 25th.
