Soccer Recap: Irmo Takes a Loss

Irmo lost against Dutch Fork back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Irmo lost 5-2 to Dutch Fork. That's two games in a row now that Irmo have lost by exactly three goals.

This is the second loss in a row for Irmo and nudges their season record down to 5-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-5 Chapin (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61% over those games). As for Dutch Fork, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Irmo will welcome Lexington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dutch Fork, they will host Chapin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chapin will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Dutch Fork surely won't give up without a fight.
