Soccer Game Preview: Kentridge vs. Kennedy Catholic

The Kentridge Chargers will head out on the road to square off against the Kennedy Catholic Lancers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Kentridge fell victim to Tahoma and their airtight defense on Friday. They fell just short of the Bears by a score of 1-0. While losing is never fun, Kentridge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 50th, while Tahoma are ranked first).

Meanwhile, Kennedy Catholic came up short against Auburn Riverside on Friday and fell 3-1. Kennedy Catholic have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kentridge has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-6-3 record this season. As for Kennedy Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-3.

Kentridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Kennedy Catholic in their previous meeting back in April, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chargers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
