Baseball Recap: Vanguard College Prep Takes a Loss

Vanguard College Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Hill Country Christian School of Austin Knights, falling 10-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Vikings of the 16-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Vanguard College Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Holice Pegram, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Vanguard College Prep now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Hill Country Christian School of Austin, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-8-1 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Hill Country Christian School of Austin beat Vanguard College Prep by a score of 10-2 later that day.
