Basketball Recap: Boone County Takes a Loss

Boone County lost against Dixie Heights back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Boone County Rebels took a blow against the Dixie Heights Colonels, falling 75-36. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 217th, while the Colonels are ranked 50th).

Boone County has also been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-22 record this season. Dixie Heights' victory bumped their record up to 20-8.

Boone County didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-48 win against Villa Madonna on the 22nd. Dixie Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
