Basketball Game Preview: Woodinville Falcons vs. Lake Washington Kangaroos

Woodinville has gone a perfect 5-0 against Lake Washington recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Woodinville Falcons will head out to challenge the Lake Washington Kangaroos at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Woodinville is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Glacier Peak 85-58 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Grizzlies: they've now won six in a row.

Jazlyn Wilkerson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 6-for-9 from beyond the arc to rack up 28 points and four steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Hailey Quiggle was another key player, going 7-for-15 on her way to 20 points.

Meanwhile, Lake Washington waltzed into their game on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They blew past the Jaguars 66-46. Given the Kangaroos' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while the Jaguars are ranked 82nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lake Washington's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 21-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points over those games. As for Woodinville, their win bumped their record up to 22-3.

Woodinville beat Lake Washington 60-52 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodinville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
