Recap: Mt. Pleasant Vikings vs. River Valley Panthers
The Mt. Pleasant Vikings lost against the River Valley Panthers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Mt. Pleasant took a 46-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of River Valley. Mt. Pleasant has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Dom Speal was the offensive standout of the contest as he scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of River Valley's points. Another player making a difference was Luke Woodring, who scored 11 points.
Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for River Valley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Mt. Pleasant will take on Derry at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for River Valley, they will head out on the road to face off against United at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
