Basketball Preview: Shenandoah Valley Blue Devils vs. Tri-Valley Bulldogs

Shenandoah Valley has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Tri-Valley Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Shenandoah Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings (they are ranked 660th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 182nd).

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 64-24, which was the final score in Shenandoah Valley's tilt against the Golden Bears on Friday. Shenandoah Valley has struggled against the Golden Bears recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Tri-Valley strolled past the Eagles with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 56-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tri-Valley.

Layne Yoder was his usual excellent self, scoring 14 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. He hasn't dropped below three steals for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Braeden Doyle, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and two steals.

Shenandoah Valley's loss was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Tri-Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which somehow isn't as good as their 16-4 record this season.

Shenandoah Valley came up short against the Bulldogs in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 60-47. Will Shenandoah Valley have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
