Wayzata faced Rogers in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Trojans walked away with a 2-0 win over the Royals. This was a revenge game for the Trojans: when they faced off against the Royals back in August, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

While Wayzata won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 25-15.

Wayzata has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Rogers, they moved to 21-5 with that loss, which also ended their four-match winning streak.

Wayzata wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against River Falls on the 11th. As for Rogers, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against St. Michael-Albertville on the 11th.
